Internship Opportunity: MEAL Development Intern

At A Drop in the Ocean / Stagona, our interns are driven by a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of displaced communities. We are currently looking for dedicated and inspiring individuals to join our team as a MEAL Development Intern.
You can apply if you are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate program, and if your university recognizes one of our four core program pillars as relevant to your internship. Independent candidates not affiliated with a university program are also welcome to apply.
Current Opening: MEAL Development Intern (Remote)
Work tasks:
- Review and align MEAL and project management guidance documents, including terminology and processes
- Collaborate remotely with the Head of Programmes and MEAL Advisor to update the MEAL Guide and support onboarding materials
- Assist in designing project planning tools and identifying gaps in Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs)
- Support the refinement of internal procedures and contribute to broader MEAL and programmatic activities

Competences & Qualifications:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a clean criminal record Commit for a minimum of three (3) months
- Hold or currently pursuing a degree in a University degree within social sciences, business management, relevant fields.
- Relevant work experience within the field can compensate for lack of formal education
- Highly Proficient in the use of technology (computer literacy, Excel spreadsheets/ equations, Google Sheets/Docs, PowerPoint, MS Office)
- Eye for detail and flexibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player; comfortable working with others but also independently when required with minimal guidance.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the refugee/humanitarian context in Greece.
- Willingness to learn about new developments
- Fluency in English; Working knowledge of Greek can be considered as an advantage
- Adaptability; working in a dynamic and fast-changing environment, and efficiently adapting to change

We provide direct and immediate support inside and outside refugee camps and advocate to increase the attention on the situation for people forced to flee their homes. We distribute necessary items such as food, clothes, and hygiene items. We also provide non-formal education and activities to support psychosocial well-being and build a sense of community and belonging.
