We are currently looking for dedicated and inspiring candidates for an internship with us. The following program pillar is currently open for applications:
- Community Empowerment Mobilization
COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT MOBILIZATION INTERN
Work Tasks:
- Maintenance and overview of CEM projects (including, Language Cafes, IT sessions, and Employability support) under the guidance of the Volunteer Coordinator
- Assist in community outreach for ongoing projects (WASH)
- Support the VC in training the volunteers involved in the CEM projects
- Supporting the development of daily programming and implementing the activities in collaboration with volunteers.
- Consider new activities and present Project proposals to VC for new activities/ Projects on-site
- Monitoring and Evaluation (Qualitative and quantitative data collection)

Competences & Qualifications:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a clean criminal record
- Commit for a minimum of three (3) months
- University degree in a relevant field (education, psychology, pedagogy, social work, international development studies, international relations, human rights)
- Highly proficient in the use of technology (computer literacy, Excel spreadsheets including equations, PowerPoint, MS Office, Google Docs, Email, smartphone)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player; comfortable working with others but also independently when required with minimal guidance.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the refugee/humanitarian context in Greece. Willingness to learn about new developments.
- High level of flexibility and ability to work in a culturally diverse context and cross-linguistically
- Fluency in English; Working knowledge of Greek and other context-relevant languages (i.e. French/German/Farsi/Arabic/Pashto/Dari) is considered an advantage.

We provide direct and immediate support inside and outside refugee camps and advocate to increase the attention on the situation for people forced to flee their homes. We distribute necessary items such as food, clothes, and hygiene items. We also provide non-formal education and activities to support psychosocial well-being and build a sense of community and belonging.
